Autodesk Office in Oregon is Relocating

The news is breaking publicly that Autodesk is relocating the Lake Oswego office in the Portland area to downtown SE Portland just off of Burnside at 17 SE 3rd Ave, Portland, OR 97214.

Autodesk to move 200 Lake Oswego employees to Portland

The old 1916 Towne Storage building is being renovated to its historic brick and amazing wood beam beauty. Instead of crumbing into pieces due to disrepair and the elements, it has become the largest renovation of a historic building in Portland.

The Autodesk Lake Oswego office has been the location for most manufacturing core product teams such as Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360 as well as several other  product and division employees working here. Autodesk has been in the Portland Oregon area for over 20 years and soon we will be more central and visible. I have been working in and around the building capturing the building’s structure in 3D using laser scanning and Autodesk products ReCap, InfraWorks, Revit, and Revit Live.

The building is next to the Salt & Straw future headquarters and tasting room and a block from Olympia Provisions but luckily there is a beautiful jogging trail on the esplanade around the river to work off the good local food and ice cream.

View of the new Autodesk office in Autodesk InfraWorks in 3D with all of Portland downtown in the model. I wish I could publish this directly to VR to view in an HTC VIVE. The building in Revit was relatively easy to get to VR using Autodesk’s Revit Live.

Lots of work to be done before we move after the new year.

Stay tuned for more photos, design, and plans for Autodesk in Portland as they are made public.

I have been in the Lake Oswego office just over two years now and excited to relocate to the historic Towne Storage building.
