I hit the Las Vegas ground running yesterday for Autodesk University 2016 and another busy day today. The official first day of Autodesk University is tomorrow beginning with an early morning run, the big opening keynote, Exhibit Hall opening, AutoCAD Family Feud, The Blogger & Social Media Meetup, and so much more.

Today developer and leadership events are going on. This evening is the newbie AU Orientation at 5:00 pm as well as several receptions like Welcome Reception, the Fusion 360 event, and so much more.
Tomorrow morning the day kicks off with the Opening Keynote with Autodesk CEO Carl Bass and CTO Jeff Kowalski and then the Exhibit Hall opens where you can see some amazing exhibits and partners. Might I suggest of you are good at AutoCAD Trivia to sign up at the AutoCAD Booth for my team to play at 1:00 in AutoCAD Family Feud going against Lynn Allen’s band of trivia ninjas.
We are busy getting ready finishing keynote presentations sure to blow minds and placing a seat for each of the thousands expected to attend.
I saw a mind blowing immersive experience last night in a dome sponsored by HP and Intel and you moist geo experience this. The dome is located just outside the Exhibition Hall. Here is a quick video I recorded while watching inside last evening. 
The AU5K 2016 – Fresh Air Networking
I’m a little overwhelmed on the popularity of my morning AU runs. We have 58 Tuesday morning and 55 on Wednesday morning! So far nobody has chosen to crawl so we will have runners ~6mph, joggers ~4mph, and some people walking to get a great fresh air start to AU 2016 and maybe even spot the super moon which wont occur for many more years.
We are meeting at the fountain at 5:45am and run promptly at 6am. Yes it may seem early, but I promise you it is worth it. We won’t be running Thursday to allow you to enjoy the AU closing party and stay out late. We will pick a point person for each of the 3 run, jog, and walk groups to make sure everyone stays together and gets back to the fountains about an hour later safely. Remember this is not a race or competition but a way for us to enjoy the sunrise and fresh air at 3 speeds. Please dress ready for the morning temperature of 50-55 degrees which is warmer than past years when AU was in December. Run at your own level and risk.

- If you need water,ibuprofen, makeup, toothpaste, eye drops, lip balm, beer, or snacks there is a Wallgreens right in front of the Venetian and 1/10th the price of purchasing the same items inside the Venetians or any casino hotel.

I did find the Autodesk Fusion 360 “F’ logo and for a second considered taking it hostage and out on a well deserved night on the town, but thought better.
