First, congratulations to all the speakers that were notified this week that they will be speaking at Autodesk University 2018 in Las Vegas! Thousands of proposals were submitted and the quality and competition for the event were top notch. Thank you to all that wrote and submitted a proposal.

Thanks to last years attendees survey feedback, my Autodesk University 5K “AU5K” is once again happening for Autodesk University 2018.

The morning run is an attendee favorite. This run started small a couple years ago as a way for me personally to get fresh air and exercise in the early morning during AU as well motivation to not stay out all night. It has grown from 15 people to last years several hundred of AU attendees running, jogging, walking the strip.

The AU 5K will be on the official Autodesk University list of activities and hopefully it has an even larger limit of attendees as it was a fast and early full event. Don’t worry you can still show up if it is full again we just might not have enough sweet prizes for those not registered.

Come join us in the fun at 6am before AU Tuesday begins. Hopefully we can encourage our active running CEO Andrew Anagnost to run with us. Come on Andrew, join the hundreds of us for some fresh air and exercise and networking. Yes, the attendees found that the run is great for making new friends and networking.
