Over the past two weeks we have had some changes like the username and password split into two steps in the Autodesk community sign in process that impacted projects for users of Autodesk Beta and Autodesk Labs. My colleague Scott Sheppard detailed the issue in a blog post Changes to the Autodesk Feedback Community Login Process are In Progress.
It was initially a fairly bumpy change as we were unaware of the changes coming. Since the change we have been working diligently to make the process much easier based on our customers and employees feedback, and sincerely appreciate and the patience and apologize for the pain. As of last Friday we rolled out a change to the production servers that will remove the majority of the pain in signing in by allowing persistent Autodesk sign in of your account good for up to two weeks. This is shared login is good for many other Autodesk online communities. You can also not just hit your keyboard Enter at the login page as the Sign In option is pre-highlighted.
If you want your login to persist up to two weeks, just make sure to check the “Stay Signed In” option.
We still have some work to do and the community platform team is in just over two weeks to figure out how we can make it an even better experience as well as planning to roll out next major release of the Feedback Community platform from Centercode. We will be rolling out the next platform release C12 this Summer before the most active alpha and beta season starts up. I will be communicate the changes to the community with the C12 upgrade as we get closer to the rolling it out.
