Last Thursday in our Portland Autodesk office, we held a free event for anyone to celebrate and show the creative customers and community of our entertainment products such as Autodesk Maya and Autodesk 3ds Max. We had several presentations from local visual fx and animation studios with amazing visuals and insight on how they work and create what they do. We also had two Autodesk product owners of 3ds Max and Bifrost.

Brent Scannel 3ds Max Product Owner gave a good overview of development and recent additions to 3ds Max and how to get involved including beta participation at Feedback Community .
Jonah Friedman Bifrost Product Owner blew minds with Bifrost procedurals.

Jonah spoke about how CFD of airflow was like art. I fully agree.
Jonah finished by showing procedural fire, chains wrapping around a car and then showing the power of procedurals thousands of cars around the chain.
