Spotted this from my Toronto Research colleague Hali Larsen @HaliLarsen this morning:

Have an innovative project in mind that you are trying to get off the ground? In need of support for hardware, software, or fabrication?
Apply to the Residency Program at Autodesk Toronto!

“The Toronto centre – one of four Autodesk Technology Centres in the world – supports a range of activities related to machine learning, generative design, robotics, artificial intelligence, and more. The centre provides facilities, technology, equipment, training, and expertise to industry, academic, and entrepreneurial communities to enable people to turn their ideas for the future into reality.

Participants in the Residency Program will get access to a dedicated workspace and training, as well as connections to industry experts, Autodesk researchers, and a community of fellow residents. In addition, residents have 24/7 access to a 5000 square foot space, plus use of a studio, workshop, and several advanced design and fabrication tools including:

  • 3D printing technologies
  • Digital subtractive manufacturing machinery (laser cutters and CNC)
  • Electronics equipment
  • Robotics
  • Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality tools

The length of the Residency Program can be tailored to each organization to meet individual goals, with durations ranging from four weeks up to one year. Residencies are non-funded, and the program is provided to our community at no cost.
