There was both industry keynotes being held at the same time so you had to either choose or run between both like I did. The AEC Keynote is larger as the AU attendee is more heavily AEC than MFG but both keynotes were excellent and unveiled many new product features such as the new BIM 360 and Fusion 360 Production and much more.

Architecture, Engineering & Construction Keynote
During this keynote, Autodesk Vice President Nicolas Magnon, Autodesk Director Sarah Hodges, and Autodesk Vice President Jim Lynch will demonstrate how you can harness disruption, such as automation, data and the cloud, to design and build better using our common data platform. Whether you’re an architect, engineer or contractor, we’ll showcase how BIM 360 will help you prepare for the Future of Making Things.

My colleagues The Future Will See You Now with me introducing them.

Make more with less. Automate to augment your work. Design in collaboration. Iterate even as you build. And use your own story to shape what’s new, what’s next. This Theater session explored how you’ll work, how your industry will change, and how the story will get told in the future of making things. The Future of Work-How technology will help people make more and better things with less Far from making humans obsolete, today’s emerging technologies are helping us become more productive, so that we can make more and better things with less. As we use technology to increase automation and augment our natural human capabilities, we’re creating a world that will be better than the one we have today.

Autodesk Innovation Strategist Bill O’Connor talked about the future of work, and how we can all make the most of it. The Future of Making-Insights from manufacturing to construction and beyond What exactly is the future of making things? What are the underlying technologies that are changing how we make things, who makes things, and the nature of what we make.
