Balloons are nice and fun, but do you ever think about where they go when you set them free up into the air? I have found them at mountain tops sitting in the in pristine vegetation and in alpine lakes where they can cause problems for the wildlife. Balloons can be like helium filled grocery bags that we don’t like to just though out into nature but we don’t give a second thought about balloons. Just think about things you send into the air and where they end up.
This mylar balloon was found at over 10,000 feet on Mt Timpanogas Utah.
